OCTOBER - Safe Environment Month
Bishop Patrick J. Zurek has designated every October to be "Safe Environment Month." All parishes and Catholic Schools will ensure that every child and youth receives age approprieate Safe Environment Training during October and are to report their compliance with the Diocesan Safe Environment Policy on or before November 15th. Safe Environment Training is considered part of the Faith Formation Process and must be conducted during regularly scheduled Faith Formation classes.
Adult Safe Environment Training - Instructions
If Safe Environment Training is required, please contact the Safe Environment Trainer, DRE, CRE, Pastor, or the Person-in-Charge of Safe Environment at your parish or school.
If your parish has no Safe Environment Trainer, contact the nearest Trainer and request the date of their next training session. If no training is scheduled at their parish or school, you may negotiate with them to provide the necessary training. Please download both documents below.
