Amarillo—It’s Festival Time at St. Joseph’s School.
The annual School Festival is scheduled Saturday, Nov. 19 from noon to 7:00pm on the school grounds at 4118 South Bonham.
Each class will have a saint-themed activity and learning opportunity at this year’s festival, according to St. Joseph’s School principal Patricia Martinez.
There will be games, with prizes, candy and more prizes. The festival will include a variety of food, including hamburgers, a Sweet Shoppe and much more. There will also be a silent auction.
Another tradition of festival is the annual Beef Drawing. Top prize in the 16th annual Beef Drawing is half-a-side of beef and a deep freezer. Second prize is a $1,500 VISA Gift Card and third prize is a $750 VISA Gift Card.
Tickets for the drawing are $10.00 each and can be purchased in the school office during regular business hours; from any St. Joseph’s School family; online on the school website, stjosephamarillo.com; and, on the school’s Facebook page, @stjosephknights. On the school’s website, there is a way for people to be a sponsor online, as well as donate an item that can be picked up. Also, supporters or alumni can make an online donation.
Proceeds from this year’s Festival will go toward the continuing updating of the St. Joseph’s School building as well as keeping tuition affordable for all families, according to Martinez.
Festival organizers are also seeking assistance from businesses and supporters to sponsor this year’s Beef Drawing.
