Amarillo—The Catholic Historical Society invites the public to join them for an evening of fun, voting and delectable refreshments during A Night at the Museum Thursday from 6:00 to 8:30 at the Diocesan Museum, 4512 NE 24th Ave., inside the Diocesan Pastoral Center.
During the evening, attendees will be encouraged to cast their vote for one of 43 pieces of art, created by local artists. Voting will end at 7:30, at which time the votes will be counted and the three most popular pieces will then be judged by a panel of three judges, who will render their decision before the conclusion of the evening.
“The first-place winner will receive a check for $4,000,” said Susan Garner, diocesan archivist/curator. “Second prize will win a $750 check, with third prize a $500 check. The first-place winner will have its art housed permanently in the diocesan museum.”
For those unable to attend A Night at the Museum, you are welcome to stop by the Museum, between now and Wednesday to vote. The museum is open Monday through Thursdays from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
