Brass Choir Concert in Hereford

St. Anthony’s Church will sponsor a West Texas A&M University Brass Choir Concert Sunday, May 4, beginning at 5:00pm at the church, 115 North 25 Mile Ave.

Dr. Guglielmo Manfredi will conduct the concert, entitled Suspended Between Gargoyles and Cathedrals.

The concert will include the World Premiere of Ode To St. Anthony, composed by WTAMU student John Stacy. The concert will also feature performances of William Byrd’s Earl of Oxford March; Siegfried’s Funeral March, composed by Richard Wagner; Thomas Beversdorf’s Cathedral Music; Lux Aurumque by Eric Whitacre; and, Ite Missa Est by Brian Balmages.

Admission to the concert is free and is open to the public. A love offering will be taken, which will be split between St. Anthony’s School and St. Anthony’s Church. For additional information, call the church office at 364-6150.
