Why do you teach at a Catholic School, compared to a Public School? “I’ve taught in both, and prefer to teach where my children attend, to teach in a smaller setting, but most importantly, to try and teach as Jesus did, by example and faith.”
Why are Catholic Schools important? “We’re losing our children and their parents to an increasingly secular world. Catholic schools offer our children and their parents an opportunity to learn their faith, come back to their faith and increase their faith through a family centered atmosphere where all staff are concerned with each child’s well-being every day.”
What is your philosophy when it comes to the classroom? “I think positive and consistent discipline in the classroom allows for each child reach their educational and faith potential.”
Hobbies: Fitness kick-boxing, reading when possible, family
Favorite Television Show: Modern Family
Favorite Book: To Kill A Mockingbird
If you had chosen another career path, what would it have been? Possibly a nurse.
If you were Superintendent for a day, what would you do? “Visit each of the schools in the Diocese of Amarillo.”
