Three Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Amarillo will present Advent/Christmas programs in the next several weeks, according to Father Robert A. Busch, Superintendent of Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Amarillo and Head of School at Holy Cross Catholic Academy.
• The Gifts of Christmas is the title of the Christmas Program performed by students of St. Anthony of Padua School, Dalhart. The program will be presented Thursday, Dec. 19 at 6:00pm in the St. Anthony’s Parish Life Center.
“The focus of the program is the four gifts—hope, love, joy and peace,” said St. Anthony of Padua School principal Melissa Meneses. “The program will present why these four are truly gifts and how they all relate back to the manger.”
The program is free and open to the public.
• St. Anthony’s School, Hereford, will offer its annual Christmas Program, also on Dec. 19. Away In a Manger is set for 7:00pm in the St. Anthony’s School Gym. Admission is free.
• St. Joseph’s School, Amarillo, will wait until after the beginning of the new year to present its’ Christmas Program. The program, St. Francis and the Christmas Crib, will be presented Friday, Jan. 10 at 7:00pm in the school gym at 4114 South Bonham. The program is free to the public.
