Figures released by Holy Cross Catholic Academy show that the graduating Class of 2014 received $493,610 in scholarships, grants and tuition waivers.
Offered scholarships were:
• Valedictorian Kristin Anne Huseman, who was offered an Amarillo Senator Grady and Andrine Smith Hazelwood Scholarship; from Amarillo College, a National Honor Society Scholarship and Regents Achievement Scholarship, a Scholarship from the University of Dallas and the Highest Ranking Graduate Award;
• Salutatorian Lianne M. Wallace, who was offered the Alexandria Award from Louisiana State University, a scholarship from the University of Dallas, the University of Oklahoma Academic Scholarship and from the Amarillo College Foundation, the National Honor Society and Regents Achievement Award;
• Miranda Crow, who was offered a National Honor Society Scholarship from Amarillo College, a University Presidential Scholarship from Texas Tech and an Academic Scholarship from Mary-Hardin Baylor University;
• John Dominguez, who was offered a Counselor Recommended Scholarship from Amarillo College;
• Nicholas Durante, who was offered a National Honor Society Scholarship from Amarillo College and a Holy Cross Catholic Academy Counselor’s Choice Scholarship;
• Matthew Escamilla, who was awarded the Cyrene Reyes Scholarship;
• Burkleigh Marie Henderson, who was offered an Academic Scholarship from West Texas A&M University, a National Honor Society Scholarship from Amarillo College, a Holy Cross Catholic Academy Choral Scholarship and a Pro-Life Scholarship from the Dr. Joseph Graham Fellowship for College Pro-Life Leaders;
• Brianna H. Hernandez, who was offered an Academic Scholarship from West Texas A&M University, a Presidential Scholarship from Texas Tech and a National Honor Society Scholarship from Amarillo College;
• Serena Luna, who was awarded the Cyrene Reyes Scholarship and was offered a scholarship from Howard Payne University, an Athletic Scholarship from Frank Phillips College and a National Honor Society Scholarship from Amarillo College;
• Greg Palacio Jr., who was offered a National Honor Society Scholarship from Amarillo College, a Holy Cross Catholic Academy Athletic Scholarship and Academic, Athletic, Catholic and Housing Scholarships from St. Gregory’s University;
• Shelbi Catherine Rickwartz, who was offered an Academic Scholarship from West Texas A&M University, an Athletic Scholarship from Frank Phillips College, a National Honor Society Scholarship from Amarillo College, Choral and Athletic Scholarships from Holy Cross Catholic Academy, a Men’s Club Scholarship from St. Thomas the Apostle Church and an Academic Scholarship from Lubbock Christian University;
• Addison S. Tenorio, who was offered an Amarillo Business Women Scholarship, a National Honor Society Scholarship from Amarillo College, a Tuition Award from Fordham, a President’s Gold Scholarship from Baylor and the Alexandria Award from Louisiana State University; and,
• Stefani M. Wilhelm, a Catholic Slovak Union Scholarship, a National Honor Society Scholarship from Amarillo College and a Holy Cross Catholic Academy Superintendent’s Scholarship.
