Amarillo—Preparations continue for the annual RadioThon to benefit St. Valentine Catholic Radio.
RadioThon 2017, will take place Monday, Sept. 25 through Friday, Sept. 29. Stories of those who found their way to the Catholic Church through Catholic radio are being sought for RadioThon 2017.
“The theme of RadioThon 2017 is
Tell Us a Story,” said diocesan Communications Director Chris Albracht, who will host the fundraiser for a seventh consecutive year.
“If you joined the Catholic Church because of Catholic Radio, we want to hear your story. Likewise, if you left the Catholic Church, but came back because of Catholic Radio, we want to hear your story. We also want to hear stories of those who felt their Catholic Faith was so strong, but strengthened because of Catholic Radio.”
The fundraiser will also include vocation stories from priests, deacons and women religious, according to Albracht.
“The best story tellers in the Diocese of Amarillo are our priests, deacons and women religious,” he said. “They also have incredible vocation stories that we want to share with you, our listeners, and we look forward to airing these stories.”
Those interested in sharing their stories are asked to contact Albracht at the Diocese of Amarillo, 806-414-1075 or via email,
[email protected]. The deadline to contact Albracht to make arrangements to tell your story for RadioThon 2017 is Friday, Sept. 8.
The annual fundraiser will air on 1360-AM, KDJW. The event will also be streamed on the radio station’s website,
www.kdjw.org and aired on the station’s low-power FM in the Nazareth area at 105.5FM, KHFN-LP.
