Amarillo—All women in the Diocese of Amarillo are invited to attend and take part in the second annual Women’s Conference, set for Friday, Oct. 30 and Saturday, Oct. 31 at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 1200 South Washington.
The theme of the conference is
Be A Saint: What Else Is There?, according to Stephanie Frausto, director of Respect Life Ministries for the Diocese of Amarillo.
Returning as the keynote speaker for the conference is Rose Sweet, a Catholic author and speaker, who spoke at last month’s World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia. Joining her as a keynote speaker will be Catholic recording artist and speaker Noelle Garcia.
Doors open at 5:00pm on Oct. 30, with Opening Prayer at 5:30. The evening will include a Eucharistic Healing Service with Benediction. On Oct. 31, doors open at 8:00am, with Mass, celebrated by Bishop Patrick J. Zurek at 8:30. Lunch and refreshments will be available throughout the second day of the conference, with the event scheduled to conclude at 4:00.
Cost of the workshop is $30.00 per woman, which includes conference materials and there will be opportunities for Prayer, Worship, Adoration and Confession, according to Frausto.
