Amarillo—The third of five Deanery Confirmation Masses in the Diocese of Amarillo is set for Saturday, May 7 at 10:30am at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 1200 South Washington.
Confirmation Masses this year in the Diocese of Amarillo are being celebrated by Deanery, with the faithful of each Deanery, young adults and adults, coming to St. Mary’s Cathedral to receive this Sacrament.
The first of two Confirmation Masses for the Central Deanery took place April 2, with the South Deanery Confirmation Mass celebrated on April 30.
“At these Confirmation Masses, we want to emphasize the importance of the Cathedral in the diocese and the beauty of the Holy Door, the Door of Mercy,” said Bishop Patrick J. Zurek. “It will remind us concretely as we walk through the Holy Door that we all are called to be merciful. These Masses will be incredible celebrations and will allow the young people and those adults being confirmed to see how many are being confirmed in their deanery.”
