All Youth Ministers in the Diocese of Amarillo are encouraged to take part in First Aid and CPR Training Saturday, Aug. 23 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at 1801 North Spring, across the street from the Diocesan Pastoral Center.
The training is free for all parish Youth Ministers and $30.00 for any additional person 18 years and older, according to Oscar Guzman, Diocesan Youth Director.
“Those interested in attending this event are encouraged to reserve their spot as soon as possible,” he said. “Those planning to take part need to understand the trainer has a limited number of mannequins available for training.”
Married couples will be able to share the same mannequin, according to Guzman.
“It is highly recommended that every parish should have at least two people certified in First Aid and CPR training during youth gatherings,” he said.
For more information, contact Guzman at 383-2243, ext. 118. Parishes with at least two people with First Aid and CPR certification are encouraged to send their names, email addresses and phone numbers to Guzman.
