"Each year, over 1 million youth will have some involvement with law enforcement or the justice system. Nearly 400,000 will be on their own and homeless for some period of time. Although the data on the overlap between these populations is limited, we know that it is significant. A recent study interviewed runaway and homeless youth in 11 U.S. cities and found that nearly 44% had stayed in a jail, prison, or juvenile detention center, nearly 78% have had at least one interaction with the police, and nearly 62% had been arrested a some point in their lives."

" We are led by God’s call through the corporal works of mercy to visit those imprisoned, through Kolbe Prison Ministries. This ministry has enriched and reinvigorated the spiritual lives of hundreds of inmates. Many of the inmates open their hearts to the word of God and begin to make positive changes in their lives."
