Bushland—The ACTS Community will celebrate its 15
th anniversary in the Diocese of Amarillo while saluting Monsignor Harold Waldow during a fundraiser Saturday, Aug. 27.
A Night Celebrating 15 Years of ACTS in Amarillo is set from 7:00pm to 11:00pm at Cornerstone Ranch Event Center, at 1901 Cement Road.
Tickets remain on sale for a $150 donation, which includes a ribeye steak dinner for two from the Big Texan, dancing to the music of Patrick Swindell and Pizzazz and one of five chances to win $1,000, according to ACTS Amarillo core president Betty Aragon.
“More than 5,000 people have participated in an ACTS Retreat in the past 15 years in the Diocese of Amarillo,” she said. “We invite everyone to join us and celebrate 15 years of this very important ministry,” she said.
Aragon added that proceeds from the evening will benefit ACTS Amarillo for scholarships and to help close the gap between the charge for an ACTS retreat and what it actually costs to put one on.
Tickets can be purchased at the Catholic Student Center at West Texas A&M University in Canyon during regular business hours. For additional information or to purchase tickets, contact Aragon at 655-4345 or go online to www.actsamarillo.org.
