Amarillo—“The Word: Get Plugged In,” is the theme of the annual Diocesan Catholic Youth Conference (DCYC) Youth Rally, set for Friday, April 5 through Sunday, April 7 at the Amarillo Civic Center.
This year, the youth rallies are being split up, with the high school and young adults gathering on the weekend after Easter. Youths in sixth through eighth grade will gather Saturday, June 22 at the Amarillo Civic Center for their rally, according to Oscar Guzman, Youth Director for the Diocese of Amarillo.
Scheduled to appear at this year’s DCYC Youth Rally are Adam Hernandez, Lizzie Velasquez, Jackie François, Marc Eckel and the St. Mary’s Cathedral Life Teen Band.
Activities run from 7:00pm to 11:00pm in the Civic Center Heritage Room on April 5. Activities continue on April 6 from 9:00am to 11:00pm and conclude April 7 with Liturgy with an Amarillo host parish, followed by an afternoon at Wonderland Park, weather permitting, from 1:00 to 6:00.
