Holy Cross Catholic Academy has been ranked #61 among all private high schools in the state of Texas, according to the Niche Private High School Rankings.
HCCA is the only private high school in Amarillo to appear on the Niche Top 100 Private High Schools in Texas.
“This is a tremendous affirmation of the many accomplishments of the students, faculty, and staff of Holy Cross Catholic Academy over the past few years,” said Father Robert A. Busch, Ph.D., Head of School at HCCA and Superintendent of Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Amarillo. “We have been working hard to ensure that HCCA provides our students with an excellent experience both inside and outside of the classroom, and this ranking demonstrates that we are definitely moving in the right direction.”
The ranking was based on Niche’s assessment of 7,669 private high schools across the nation. According to the Niche website, a high ranking in overall experience indicates that the school is an exceptional academic institution, has a diverse student population, fosters an accepting and positive school culture and has active involvement among students in a variety of extracurricular and athletic activities.
“This ranking is an indication that HCCA is doing what Catholic schools across the country and in the state of Texas have always done,” Father Busch added. “We may not have the biggest budgets or the best facilities, but Catholic schools continue to be outstanding environments in which students can grow and excel intellectually, socially and spiritually. I am proud that HCCA has been recognized for upholding that tradition of excellence in education.”
