Amarillo—Holy Cross Catholic Academy will celebrate homecoming with a number of activities, beginning on Wednesday, Oct. 14, according to Darla Mueller, Associate Head of School at HCCA.
Middle school and varsity football teams and the middle school and varsity volleyball teams will be recognized during an Oct. 14 pep rally at 3:00pm in the St. Joseph’s School Gym at 4114 South Bonham. During the pep rally, the nominees for the homecoming court will be presented.
The varsity football Mustangs will play their homecoming game on Thursday, Oct. 15 at 6:00pm against the Whitharral junior varsity team at Glenwood Park at 2407 South Houston. At halftime, the homecoming court will be recognized.
The varsity volleyball team will be in action Friday, Oct. 16 and Saturday, Oct. 17, with Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) District 1-A games against Jesus Chapel School of El Paso. The senior Lady Mustang volleyball players will be recognized during the Oct. 16 game, which begins at 6:00pm. The Oct. 17 will begin at 11:00am. Both games will be played at Alamo North Gym at 1901 North Spring, just north of the Diocesan Pastoral Center.
Homecoming activities wrap up with the annual Homecoming Dance Friday, Oct. 30, which runs from 8:00pm to 11:30pm at St. Joseph’s School Gym. For more information about Homecoming at Holy Cross Catholic Academy, please call the school at 355-9637.
