Amarillo—All women throughout the Diocese of Amarillo are invited to attend a presentation by author and Sirius XM host Kathryn Whitaker Monday, Oct. 21.
The gathering, which is focused on women at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, is set to begin at 5:30pm in Monsignor Tash Hall at 4100 South Coulter.
A native of Dumas and a graduate of Randall High School, Kathryn Whitaker is the author of Live Big, Love Bigger, an award-winning book about living an intentional, kind of life. A sixth-generation Texan, she was raised as an evangelical Protestant and then converted to Catholicism on the eve of her wedding.
On social media, Whitaker shares her honest take on family life and living the Gospel, all while drinking Dr Pepper and cheering on the Texas Aggies. She has appeared in USA Today, EWTN, radio and TV stations around the country and is a frequent guest/sometimes host on The Catholic Channel on SiriusXM.
This is Whitaker’s second appearance in the Diocese of Amarillo this decade. She was the keynote speaker Sept. 27, 2020 at the 23rd annual Respect Life Banquet at the Amarillo Civic Center.
Whitaker and her husband, Scott, live with their family in Austin. Learn more about her appearance by calling St. Thomas the Apostle Church at 806-358-2461.
