Amarillo—Monday, April 22 is the deadline to register for the second of three seminars being offered in the Diocese of Amarillo during The Year of Faith.
Encountering Christ in the New Evangelization is the subject of a seminar being presented by Father John E. Hurley, C.S.P. The seminar will be offered to all priests of the Diocese of Amarillo on Friday, April 26 and to all deacons, women religious and lay leaders on Saturday, April 27 from 10:00am to 3:00pm at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 1200 South Washington.
Cost of the seminar is $10.00 per person, which includes lunch.
“Father Hurley’s workshop will examine our role as disciples of Jesus and where it all began,” said Bishop Patrick J. Zurek. “We will also examine our call to leadership and animating the community of faith. We will also explore what is required in the New Evangelization and explore the many ways that the marginalized are all around us and near us.”
Father Hurley is Executive Director for the Department of Evangelization in the Archdiocese of Baltimore and former Executive Director of the National Pastoral Life Center and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) Secretariat for Evangelization.
