Amarillo—Couples who have a desire to serve other couples are encouraged to attend two Sponsor Couple Training sessions at St. Hyacinth Church, 4500 West Hills Trail.
The training sessions are set for Saturday, June 18 and Saturday, July 9, both days from 9:00am to 4:30pm in Monsignor DiBenedetto Hall.
“We are asking parishes to send forth any couples that would be fit to serve their parishes in the capacity of marriage formation and marriage prep,” said Stephanie Frausto, of the Office of Family Life for the Diocese of Amarillo.
The June 18 session will focus on the life of grace within a union, teaching couples how to pray together.
“The training during the June 18 gathering will instill the confidence for Sponsor Couples to grow and mature within their own union, therefore finding peace in teaching and forming couples they are called to sponsor,” Frausto said.
The July 9 session will focus on how to live a Joy-Filled Marriage.
“The objectives for our July 9 session will be on training on how to have one-on-one’s with couples and the how to’s of facilitating a couple strengthening group series at the parish level,” said Frausto.
There is no cost for the training, but couples must attend both sessions, according to Frausto. Check-in for both dates are at 8:45am and there will be a one-hour break for lunch. Find out more by calling Frausto at 383-2243, ext. 129 or via email, [email protected].
